He received a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Lecce (Italy), in October 2004 (Dissertation: Dynamic simulation and real-time interaction for Surgical Training Systems). From October 2004 to November 2005 he worked for laboratory of High Performance Computing (Department of Innovation Engineer, University of Lecce).

Augmented reality in the operating microscope
This task is part of the "COMPU SURGE" project in collaboration with University Clinic of Heidelberg. The aim of this work is to create an augmented reality microscope environment for ergonomic intraoperative presentation of complex preoperative three-dimensional and multimodal planning data during microsurgical operations in the head and neck.
